Gerrard St is right in the middle of a serious chinese area. A few years ago I went into the main french horn makers in london who at the time had their shop there whilst in there a fight broke out in the pedestrian street out side and within seconds the street was full of nipsters with meat cleavers and they wern't pissing about there was blood every where.
Personaly I wouldnt go and make trouble there with two hundred bikers behind me, it has two main gated entrances which in moments would be sealed up and you wouldnt get out belive me.

I asked around, and apparently I've been for a few beers in BRB on that street. The day after, someone was shot in the head in a gangland assassination in the same pub!

Soo Andy,,
you have been buying stuff of the Jaws Family for some time then mate !

My uncle Peter ( Robinson ) was gifted the firm when old man Paxman retired back in errrrr.. must have been the late 60's or early 70's..
Of Course that was the son of Paxman and Son as the real OLD man who started the company died yonks before that ..

Peter is now in his late 60's and retired from being the boss of Paxmans several years ago.. I do not know if he sold the firm, closed it or what, but now he runs a small music shop somewhere in the general area of Romford, more or less as a hobby..

Mr Paxman jr retired when I was stil quite young to be honest. Peter took the firm over and although I went ( was taken ! ) there once or twice it was not considered quite correct for the boss's nephew to be wandering around ..

I know it is very hard to believe now, but back then we were moderately posh folk :p !!

Early pic of me... Check out the Burberry overcoat ! Even back then I was a suspected Chav !
