I’m not sure what it actually contains, but I had to use waterless coolant in my turbo Busa to stop it boiling. It never required topping up.
Just found this...Don't think i will bother.
coolent, glycol based fluid.
Is it true that you never have to change it or top up (unless you fit a new rad).
Anyone got it in their 'Bird' or other bikes?
Regularly Watching the temperature gauge on my FI climbing steadily to scary levels in London traffic I was seriously tempted to give the Evans stuff a go. More than once I had to pull over to let the bike cool down in really hot weather which had the added worry of whether there was enough juice in the battery to get it going again..Waterless, pointless more like unless you are racing, its expensive & a bit of a faff to use properly, doesn't expand & needs a completely sealed system to work, so no expansion tank & no way of any moisture getting in + every nook & cranny in the whole coolant system had to be bone dry before filling or you just wasted a ton of cash for no gain
Very true, but it was vital if I was running the turbo as I had no oil cooler to help keep the heat down.Waterless, pointless more like unless you are racing, its expensive & a bit of a faff to use properly, doesn't expand & needs a completely sealed system to work, so no expansion tank & no way of any moisture getting in + every nook & cranny in the whole coolant system had to be bone dry before filling or you just wasted a ton of cash for no gain
