coolent, glycol based fluid.
Is it true that you never have to change it or top up (unless you fit a new rad).
Anyone got it in their 'Bird' or other bikes?

I’m not sure what it actually contains, but I had to use waterless coolant in my turbo Busa to stop it boiling. It never required topping up.

Waterless, pointless more like unless you are racing, its expensive & a bit of a faff to use properly, doesn't expand & needs a completely sealed system to work, so no expansion tank & no way of any moisture getting in + every nook & cranny in the whole coolant system had to be bone dry before filling or you just wasted a ton of cash for no gain

Regularly Watching the temperature gauge on my FI climbing steadily to scary levels in London traffic I was seriously tempted to give the Evans stuff a go. More than once I had to pull over to let the bike cool down in really hot weather which had the added worry of whether there was enough juice in the battery to get it going again..

Never did though. Looking back I think I should have. Expensive as you need to buy stuff to completely purge every drop of water out of the syste, as well as the coolant itself.

Very true, but it was vital if I was running the turbo as I had no oil cooler to help keep the heat down.

All I know about it is, it was used in a car on wheeler dealers in one episode

I nearly used it on my last service but was put off by the expense and having to buy 2 products.

Yes most definitely. It was upgraded with an intercooler after I sold it , but not in time to stop it detonating on a (final) run at around 235 when it accidentally got 28psi boost added instead of 20psi on top of 8psi spring pressure. Prior to that it was running fine on progressive boost through the gears @1 mile standing start. Running on the road at spring pressure only never caused a problem - once I’d upgraded the cooling system with waterless coolant and a higher pressure rad. cap.
