I put Dereks Bird on ebay last week and last night the auction finished with the reserve having been met and an extra ?50 on top.

So I emailed the winning guy and got a reply this morning from him, should have known really by what he said..........asking questions that should have been asked before he bid.

Anyway, I give him Dereks telephone number. Couple of hours later I get a call from Derek to say the guy has pulled out, because....................his wife said if he gets a motorbike she will walk out!!...................what a prat. He might even be on this very forum as he has ridden a bird before so obviously has an interest.

I have emailed him and requested that he at least honours my fees. I know thats not going to happen. Second high bidder has been emailed to see if he wants it. I can see me having to go through the non paying bidder route.

faaar too many of them around love...

It doesnt only happen on bikes either... I had the same thing with an idiot from Greece... I put on the sale notice "Will post to UK only". This idiot ups the price untill he wins, then says how much postage to Greece... I price it up and its ?36.00

Tough shit he says, I aint havin it.

So I put bad feedback on him... He says he aint paying that much postage. I reply its at cost from post office parcels... I still hadnt sold the item....:bang:

Got in touch with ebay, and they refunded my sellers fee... I would give that a try if I was you.

Best of luck. And as they say

"Illegitimi non carborundum"

Dont let the bastards grind you down..

Chin up darling.

Best wishes to you & Derek,

Rolfy

my mother used to manage some boarding kennels in Arthington, and the owners had a sign in the window. 'Noli Permiterre illigitimie carborundum' no bastards allowed, wondered why my mum always made me wait outside
