Was it my imagination or? Did I hear on the news that the bloody government is going to increase the road fund licience on cars with bigger engines. If that is correct are our bikes next? Higher than the current scheme. OK so here is my take they should be reducing the RFL on smaller cars and what about big people like me and some others on here. 6ft 6in 18 stone look as stupid in a "Mini" as sat on a SR 125 cc. Would I get enough support to challenge this on the platform of sizeisum or would that only work if I was from another ethnic background and not ENGLISH. This lot are not fit to govern themselves let alone the United Kingdom. What are your thoughts on this topic?

For God's sake don't get me started on the Government. Suffice to say that people are leaving the country in bloody droves, and if I thought for one minute that the wife and I could make a decent living elsewhere (such as Spain or France) I would be off like a bloody shot.

However you are almost right on the road tax issue. Following the Govt's move about 3 yrs ago to reduce the road tax on small capacity cars they are now proposing to increase it for cars with an engine of over 2 litres and have some kind of sliding scale based on cubic capacity. The justification seems to be environmental, however the benefits will of course be financial. It is not definite yet, just a proposal, but who's going to bet against it? Not me, mate!

Bikes weren't mentioned in the review that I heard (Radio 4 I think), but given that this Government doesn't give a toss about bikes it's evens whether they will leave things as they are or make some kind of exponential increase.

Forget sizeism, and go straight for the jugular. If we all dyed our skins a darker shade and prayed to a different God we might just get away with claiming that paying higher taxes is akin to gambling and therefore an offence to our religious beliefs. How about starting our own religion? We could probably do well out of the lottery fund, the G.L.C., the various local regional Development Boards and any other loony Quango that we applied to. Just a thought....

Incidentally, whenever someone mentions religion, it is my experience that somebody comes on whining about prejudice. I would like to make it clear that if I have offended anyone with my views on religion, then tough shit.
