Wanted.. 42" tv.. not back projection type

I have a 40 inch Sony WEGA tube. Largest tube TV made. Prolly the best television I have owned. No drawbacks of plasma and rear projection. Less cost than LCD. Top notch!

Why not buy the local Odean cinema

The only problem with CRT is the size. It took two of us 20 minutes to shift a 36" widesceen from car to living room. At least no one would steal the thing!

I'm sure I could hook you up at Bargain Pete's for a significant savings....problem is, shipping it to you would likely cost half as much as the set itself....and probably get there busted anyways...

(been overseas a lot....shipping tends to be, well, a tad rough on electronics....)

That is true, the fecking Sony weighs 300 lbs.!!! Took two large beefy deliverymen to bring it in from the truck. So another upside is that it is it's own built-in anti-theft system. :} The picture quality is just stunning though.

I remember when mine came. I spent 2 hours putting the rather hefty wooden base together. I then had to phone a friend when I realised I couldn't reach both ends to lift the TV onto it!
