I’m a grumpy old got I’ll freely admit, but it makes me mad having to watch videos on the TV, as an example, that has been filmed on a phone being held in portrait format. Videos should be shot in landscape, ie hold the phone 90° from upright.
But why haven’t phone manufacturers realised this and inbuilt the 90° rotation automatically so that it gets filmed in a sensible way for viewing later. Surely it must be simple enough, or even add an extra lens?
bah humbug (the first of the season)
