Hi All,
I've just booked to go to Valencia this October for the Moto GP on my bike travelling from Plymouth to Santander then ride across. Thing is I've never been before and can't seem to find any decent campsites, the circuit website said someting about using a local farmers field.

I would be grateful for any tips staying over there, I would prefer to find a cheap B&b but not having much luck (apart from an old thread on here that lists a village called Cheste, have sent an enquiry to them).

Cheers

John

Yup we will be going & as usual we will be in the EXPO Hotel in Valencia
Cheste on the Friday & Saturday night is a must, as for B&B cant help.
By the way the race track is at Cheste, which is a short ride-drive-or train ride from Valencia

Hiya John,
the closest ACSI approved camp site is quite a way away just north of Cullera ( which is about 30 miles south of Valencia )

The details are:

Ctra del Faro Km 2
46400 Cullera/Valencia (Comunidad Valenciana)
Spain

Tel: (+34) 96-1721440
Fax: (+34) 96-1721440
e-mail: campingsm@ecullera.org

If you are going on your bike please be aware you will run into a real shit storm if you have a GPS fitted on the bike where it can be seen by the rider ( so that would be about anywhere then ! ) On the spot fine of ?100.00 ( thats Euros not pounds )
GPS's and indeed any other type of screen are now illigal in Spain as are any sort of comms in your helmet.
A cop sees a curly lead coming outa yer bash hat and you will wave tata to ?100

Sadly it is true.. It was Steve and Tracey brought me up to speed on the situation earlier this year.
Apparently any new car being sold that has satnav has to have it disabled before they can release the car to the customer !

Still kickin' it!
...Never had any problems (Garmin 2610)...but...it seems that programming the unit on the move is a big "no-no" (surprise, surprise)...
