A top fella I know (Noddy) died at the weekend while racing and I've just heard that a bloke I know from the Fazer forum (Steve) lost the front end of his Fazer in a bend and was killed instantly in a collision with an oncoming vehicle.
Noddy was a top lad and owner of Carbontek racing (a well respected and well known bike tunning and custom business). He was so full of life and lived for his racing and was always amongst the top runners in the SV650 Bemsee series. In contrast, Steve was a family man, unasuming and a very steady rider. There is to be an inquest into the circumstances of the accident which I'm really glad to hear about given his riding ability and the circumstances surrounding the event.
Anyway, I know this post won't achieve anything other than I hope it serves as a stark reminder.
I have to admit to being affected by the news as I rode to work today.
RIP fellas.

Sad news DS, and for you to know both of them you must be feeling gutted mate, I wish I knew what to say to you, but whatever is said won't bring them back, my thoughts are for their families, and also for the way you must be feeling.

Kinda hit home the day after I get my bike back I've met Noddy when he finetuned my power commander at Carbontek, really top bloke... Rest in peace boys. And like Joe says, a stark reminder for those who stay to make sure they stay.
