Apparently Airfix (model company) are bringing out a model of the TSR2 in November, reckon this could make a lot of grown men who know weep!

Thats a good question Mr Chuff, although the answer is already provided, as in AIR craft. And there shouldnt be a problem for the pedants either as they are all BIRDS!

Alright then Lumps, in at the deep end. Which was better in 1940, Spitfire 1a or Bf109e? And why? And whats the difference between A Bf109 and a Me109?

Is a lunp
spitfire was better had a much tighter turning circle and therefore could out handle the bf.

difference between bf and me is just the name,

Spot on Wolfie as to the name. As to the better air craft,. mostly its all down to the tactical situation at the time. The Hurricane could turn inside both a Spifire and 109 but wasnt a better aircraft overall. The real answer is that in 1940 the Spitfire had a much greater development potential than the 109 and so it proved.

Anyway, enough anoraking.
