from the Castle Coombe pages "Bikes must be fitted with either original factory equipment silencer or a suitable replacement. Competition machines are not eligible due to strict sound regulations, which will be monitored and enforced throughout the day. The limit is 105dB(A), measured at 0.5m from the exhaust outlet at 3/4 max revs"
http://www.castlecomberacingschool.co.uk/ccframe.htm

but I'll see if I can borrow the g/f's Blade or we're at Mallory on the 23rd if ya wanna ride a proper unrestricted circuit.

Its a little strict, but it can equal the bikes out a bit,i run a completely standard bike and still have fun.Its not the best circuit around but its close to me, getting time off this time of year for me is quite difficult plus there are some good country pubs around for that all important beer/food / chit chat/ piss taking afterwards .and a campsite close.

No, no and no again :bang:

Not doing another trackday at Castle Combe. Myself, 1200Pete and Musher did one there earlier this month, see thread here http://www.bikersoracle.com/blackbird/forum/showthread.php?t=20122

The track was ok(ish), but they have 6 groups of approx 12 people in without any grading, i.e. novices/inters/fast. This means that in every hour, you only get about 10 mins track time, which equals roughly 8 laps. 2 or 3 of those are spent warming tyres up again, then just as you're getting into a rythym the chequered flag comes out :xm

Shame really as it's very local to me, but just not enough time on track for the cost. Will hopefully be doing either Silverstone GP or Donnington GP soon if you're up for it Edd :dunno:
