Ive been searching ebay for some givi panniers and came accross this guy ..see link.. He is a fellow Bird owner and does seats and backrests for the Bird and all other bikes as well.. Ive had a chat with him on the phone and Ive ordered a matching seat and backrest off him .. Even tho I havent seen any of his finished products yet he seems very honest and straightforward guy and very confident in his work.... Aswell as being a enthusiastic Bird owner to boot.. I have emailed him a link to here and to get himself signed up, not just to sell his stuff but for the wealth of information that we all know is available here..

nuff of my waffle .. heres a link and a few pics to his ebay auction at the mo..
check it out and see what you think..

I am sending my seat up on Monday and I will post up when I get my seat and backrest back ...

dunno how long you've been making seats Daz, but I suspect I have one of yours already!! it is identical to one of those on your ebay advert, !! and as your "local" we may well be in the market for another, do you do the "gel" inserts BTW :dunno:
shouldnt let anyone on here bother you "ref the spullink!" or anything else for that matter, hope to see you at Squres sometime soon!! :dunno:

Welcome Cakey

Don't worry about upsetting anyone on here. The banter is very lively and downright rude at times, as I've found out and I've only been a member for a few months. But it's all part of the fun and there are some proper decent folk on here. So get involved and start flinging the sh1t! %$fan

Custom seats are a subject of recurring interest it would seem, so to have someone that is a member that can do the job well would be a bonus for the forum I think.

I'm planning on replacing my standard seat so I'll be keen to see what the feedback on your seats are. Like Ianrobbo, I'd like to know whether you'll put gel packs in and what sort of foam you use. I need maximum long term long journey comfort!

It might be an idea for you to post your costs on the forum, though thinking about it I'm not sure whether you'd be able to post your costs directly on here: you'd need to talk to Jaws about that.

Anyway, keep us up to speed on what you're doing and good luck!

Ps. Do you like cake?

Well, I like the look of those seats Cakey. After my first foreign tour on the 'Bird this year, I think I will need a decent seat for next year as it wasn't the comfiest I've ever sat on! And it was only a week long this year!!! As I'm a Bratfud (Bradford for all those non Yorkshire folk on here) lad, I could drop it in and collect it to save on post. Who says us Yorkshire folk are tight? :p

Are you a Tigers fan, by any chance?
