hot hands

How hot do your grips get m8?

I've been trying to find someone else who has them, as I've just fitted some to my bird. The box has a warning on saying don't touch without gloves on, but they don't seem to get that hot to be a problem. :dunno:

hot grips

Hi yah
i've got the oxford hot grips. only 2 settings on & off
frather than cut into the fairing i've fitted mine, on top of the clutch res cap, held in place with a cable tie!
reason, easy to turn on no drilling etc. dsn't impede resivoir ( just need to put new tie on if messing about toping up fluid.
i find these good ( yes they do get hot if bare hands) i'm still wearing summer gloves at the moment ( whether summer or winter gloves) they work well to take the edge off. but over sustained long journey, this time of year the back off the hands still get cold( mind you this happens with all hot grips, the only way to combat this is, get a bike with a bigger fairing)
still for me there perfect

Cheers. I've yet to take them out on a proper test, but if they don't get any hotter than when I tried them out at home after fitting them, I think I'll have to take them back. Which will be a complete pain in the :m

they shouldn't be getting so hot that they feel uncomfortable
but you should be getting some comfort ! bearing in mind that you will be gripping them for more than 5 minutes on the road and keeping the breeze of them you should notice the difference especially on full. Keep me posted about what happens on the road test mate

At last! Got out on the bike today, and the grips were absolutely ace. Had to keep turning them down they got so hot. :mad:They made a cold ride really enjoyable. Bloody roads were covered in salt, mud and loads of rocks at one point. Farmers really need to get a grip. :bandit:

Unfortunately the clutch has now started slipping so I've got something else to worry about. Is there any way of adjusting it with it being hydraulic? It has been biting a long way out recently - Is it buggered?? :B

To top it all, I've just noticed that some ignorant bastard has bumped my car and not bothered to own up to it. There's a nice scrape on the bumber, obviously where someone has driven out of a parking space behind me and scuffed the corner of the bumper. NOT IMPRESSED. :bang: :bang: :bang:
