Well after it did that doughnut it shot off towards the west for a couple of miles, lost a LOT of height and came back over... headed east and went out of site for a minute or so before coming back even lower... And it was a 747 !!!
Yup.. a fookin Jumbo !!!
I was gonna rush back in and get the camera again but realised by the time I got it and fired it up the thing would be long gone....

Dont be daft bert, given the stupid nature of the new test I am constantly amazed that ANYONE ever passes it..

but back to the plot ( which has thickened !! )
loks like the appearence of the 74 was a coincidence folks..
On the local new just now the same rings were reported over Norwich but it seems no one saw of heard a thing until they wre just hanging there in the sky...
Oh and waht I did not notice ( as it was just getting to dusk ) was that the ring was bright red.. Looking again at the picture I would guess the one over here was the same colour too..

I was out cycling one day around Rutland water, when a spitfire, hurricane and lancaster did a low level fly-by over the water. Bugger me if my camera batteries decided it was just too exciting.
I was so pissed off I didn't bother getting some new batteries from a nearby shop. The buggers came around and did it again 10 minutes later!

w;;v Jaws you just gave this aussie mother heart palpitations, here I sit waiting to hear if two of my offspring have made it to England OK (due to have arrived Monday evening) and you put up pictures of a jet doing circle work (donuts, burnouts or ringies depending on what part of the world you come from)?.mind you it may have solved the mystery Knowing my second daughter she must have talked the pilot into letting her have a go at flying that jet!!!!!

Coincidence about the 747?

John, I read somewhere that the apparently never-photographed Aurora spyplane leaves smoke rings like that from the rumoured pulse engines.

Makes you wonder....
