Just seen on BBC news
RIP TV.
He was another great voice off the radio. I believe he was about 63. Also he was taken to hospital earlier in the week suffering from a stroke. I have also heard that he died at 4 O'Clock this morning.
Many folks of my age ( I know...OLD !!) will remember him as keenly as John Peel, through listening to Radio Caroline, and the TV Rock show on radio 1.
I met him two or three times during his time with radio 1 and he was always one of the "good guys" of radio... Stood up for what he believed in... Free choice in music.
Always one for Rock, I have listened to his "Rock show" now for any years, and will miss his "unmistakeable" voice (many times imitated)
RIP Tommy.... "Let heaven rock"
Cheers,
Rolfy

ps.. Just for Wolfie... I never heard him play an ABBA track...:}
