Rice and hard-boiled eggs, that'll bung your kazoo up good an' proper. Being allergic to eggs, I don't have that luxury.
it seems the rice and goat did the trick anyway and it was a damn nice way to sort out the old bunghole (y)

Some wood……..While the lounge and dining area are trashed we are taking the opportunity to replace a couple of 3m teak window boards with white oak…..£315.33:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:.

Dont think the insurance company will cover that unfortunately although we are having to replace some other oak fittings…maybe they won’t notice….:abduction:

on the bright side we are covered for up to £25000 hotel bills while we move out…….I hear Acapulco is nice at this time of year.

At the rate this is going might need to find somewhere that is nice in October…..

A power planer.
Some dog treats for the Budster & Elsie
I bought a cheap electric plane in Argos years. Great yoke!! Even planes tops of screws - thought I had wrecked it but it was OK. Even for the one job I was doing it was worth it.

Use it from time to time since.

Great tool to have. I had my Black and Decker for about forty years, went to use it a few weeks back and tye drive belt snapped. Got a new planer from Screwfix for not much more than the cost of the drive belt replacement.

My previous power planer burnt out a few years ago.
Today I paid £27 for this one in Screwfix.
