Then I read that we shouldn't be using sunflower oil we should be using olive oil.

I think they are all the same apart from cosmetic changes mate, first produced in 72 I think so it wont be the very first model but thats not a concern for meMk1 model..?

There's way better oils for cooking, coconut probably being the best because it's stable at very high temperatures. Extra Virgin olive oil is the best for general use like drizzling on salads or pasta but no so good for cooking. It's not heat stable and when subjected to very high temperatures, like in a frying pan, it breaks down into some nasty shit and becomes very not good for you.
