My better halfs two eldest daughters (one with her boyfriend), are arriving in London late Monday afternoon for a 12 month working holiday. Mebbe one day they could link up with a few of you pillionless riders and have the grand tour ?

How's the weather? Should they take a jersey ?

ianrobbo1 this is B&S's other half replying to the post. I'm only 5'2" tall but damn the gun I have is big enough to remove one or two bird riders in one shot so unless Pierre is sweet, a gentleman and has no HANDS.................

:bandit:
However if any of you can prove your intentions are pure (ie bank balance that looks like a phone number) you can have both of them :p

I'd be happy to help out........being a fine upstanding responsible type person and all (despite my Melbourne origins :})

Just let me know if I can help out in any way.

Being South Aussie, we normally would not converse with Victorians, but obviously you have seen the light and left the state, so we will post again when the girls are settled. Thanks Skippy-that is sweet of you (B & S's better half).

dear Mrs B&S

I've met Pierre and I'm sure he would be the perfect gentleman,
I realy dont know why you feel the need to point out your ability with a firearm,:rolleyes:
I feel I must point out though, he does indeed have hands, in fact one complete pair of hands, these I know, actually assist him in controling his bird, {the super type},:blush: :}

ianrobbo1, it was just a protective knee jerk reaction of a mother who is sending two of her young ones out into the big wide world R#? ?.would never take a shot at a bird rider. Gosh bike riders have enough hazards out there without adding to them.
I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all who post here on the Bird Site for giving me many hours of entertainment. B & S work takes him away from home a lot at the moment, so I have spent many hours just browsing the forum when things are quiet at home. I keep him up to date with all that is happening here and have enjoyed reading the fun posts as well as the more serious topics?.LOL when waiting for PsychoBikerBen to announce the safe arrival of his baby I nearly wore a path in the carpet pacing back and forward to the computer to check on the news. R#?
So From Black and Swoopy?s other half ?. Cheers to you all and ride safe :beer:

One thing that no one else seems to have mentioned...
the weather is bloody awful at the moment !
They should be equiped with thermals and BIG coats !!
In fact if you could send them over with an extra suitcase packed full of proper Oz sunshine that might help us a little.. Florida John is due to bring a bag full of Florida sun in May but we need something to get us by until then !!

I'm afraid the youngest daughter is just bringing a bag full of shoes (we think she dies her hair black to hide the blonde):}

So when does better biking weather begin?

I've been living here since '97 and I'm still asking that question :}

Warm gear is a must at the moment but the better:rolleyes: weather is allegedly not too far off .....with global warming and all we might just see two days of sunshine this year:}

Well I have to confess, I do indeed have a fully working pair of hand (although the left one never retrieved full sensation after my encounter of the third kind with a &*^@&%$@@$*&@!!!! last year), and they do come pretty handy (no pun intented!) when it comes to handle my bird, yes the super type with two wheels!
I don't really like getting shot at since it makes extra holes I don't really need, but yes I am a gentleman, sorry my bank balance doesn't look like a telephone number, well not an international one anyway! But I do live in London and I'll be happy to give a London Blackbird tour to your daughters, just PM me when they are going to be around! I'm sure some other well-intentioned gentlemen will pop up to offer their services - cue Joeboy!:beer:

And what's really nice about an English summer is when it falls on a weekend, like that one the first Saturday in May 1999!

It's a real shit when it happens on a workday though, which is most years:lol:

Ah, but you have to remember that what we natives call summer may, in reality, bear no relation at all to the definition that you have in mind Skip$%3un

..............or did you perhaps blink?:dunno:
