We have just booked the entertainment for the meeting...

Hopefully we will have a curry/chilli meal for that night...:lick:

Sadly we dont have enough money to cover a band for Saturday night :cry:, but we do have a disco & karaoke booked for all 3 nights.k1ap..



We have also priced/sorted & booked a block of 4 individual showers for use of campers whilst at the bash. And RAF Cosford have let me know that we are able to have a guided our of the museum by their own tour guides when we visit on the Sunday afternoon...Admission to the museum will be free, but the tour guides will be paid for by your bash payment.

All that is left to sort now is the actual Mini moto's and the bungee slide for one of the competitions...

Bungee slide is now booked for Sunday morning...

Catering is under advisement, and a burger van is hopefully going to be sourced this weekend...

More will be notified as it becomes available...:-:

This is going to be the Bash to end all bashes, now we just need YOU !!!

We are normally at the German bash at his time of year (in a 4star hotel, eating great food & drinking superb beer :lick, but we have decided to fore-go this for 2008, just to put together the main UK bash for 2008 as no on else could be arsed to do it...

If we dont get at least bookings for 100 people before 1st Jan 2008 with all payments in by 31st Jan 2008 it will be foced to cancel :cry:

To try to get the numbers up. we have posted this on the German, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, French, and Belgian Blackbird club sites as well... Already we have 2 couples coming from Germany and 2 possibles from Norway :bow:

Considering all the folks who moaned about location/cost/facilities, & entertainment, it was a gib decision just to undertake this...

So far we have about 60 people "pencilled in", WE NEED AT LEAST 40 MORE......

Support your local Blackbird bash....or as the phrase goes...

USE IT OR LOSE IT...

I know you're not having a go, Dave, but in our defence we have been members of Ogri and attending the Belgian thing for nearly 10 years as opposed to 4 years with BIRD. We couldn't make it last year because of the cost of Alan's birthday party and it's their (the Belgian Treffen's) 25th anniversary this year with the club making a big thing of as many of us as possible going. Ogri is a large part of our lives with parties/meets being held at least once a month, and it is like family (as some of you who have been to the clubhouse have seen for yourselves).

I do intend to try to get something together for the auction as our contribution, but I am afraid that we will be going to Belgium. That's one of the reasons we try to make the other Bird events, because we know we can't do the May bash.

No hump taken here, just explaining our (apparant) lack of support for an event that takes a lot of organising and on any other weekend of the year we would love to attend.

Huge respect to you, Dave & Jan, for what you are doing (and of course to Jaws for previous years).

No more excuses folks !!!!!

If Florida John can make it over the pond to attend then all of you in the UK have no excuse not to be there. This will be my 7th year attending the Bash.

I will be bringing a couple bottles of the evil fire water by Jack Daniels as well.

Rolfy ... as per the other thread .... sorry to have let you down.

Having had a rather rough year & things have come to a crunch and I'm just not able to send the wonga as promised until I get paid next (15th).

Right now I'm just trying to ensure I've got enough petrol money & grub to get me to the next pay packet.
