Many thanks....

to Andy & Sarah for organising a great rideout, and a faulous evening meal at Imrans restaurant.

Nice to see friends old & new again.

Thanks to Andy for leading a curry virgin through the intricacies of an authentic Indian menu...(Even though the mildest nearly blew me & Jans head off:blush: )

Looking forward to the next rideout (Manchester I think)

Hope everyone else had a good time too...(even though Jenny got us lost and we did a "round the block" from Imrans before finding our way to the motorway:} )

Cheers,

Rolfy

Thanks from us too, been a long time since I was down the Ladypool Road, sorry I went the wrong way - firstly I was going home to Kidderminster (old habits die hard!!) and then my pilot informed me we were heading for Jct 6 which I erroneously believed was Spaghetti; had he properly told me we were supposed to be heading for Castle Bromwich we could have got there quite a lot quicker by crossing the Stratford Rd and heading for the gasometer (is it still there?) over towards Alum Rock. Still we've all got 20/20 vision with hindsight haven't we!

Lovely curry; glad I had a fresh multi pack of loo rolls in!!!!

The ride and the hour on the hills certainly blew the cobwebs away, cold and grey again today; I guess the early summer weather we were promised was just Friday while we were at work. Still, enough to raise my hopes a bit for some warmer weather soon.

Good to see everyone - hope to see you all again soon.

Glad to see everyone had a good time. We were a bit apprhensive as we`ve never organised anything like that before and Andy hasn`t ever led a rideout. I think we`ve learned quite a bit from it and will it have to do it again at some point.
Gasometers are still there, along with Star City and The Fort a bit further down the road!!

Thanks to everyone who came and made it a great day. Like toots said Ive never been on the front before 8l1nd and I hope I didn't go too slow, too fast centre line it too much not enough and all the other things I did wrong like not canceling indicators and having people think I was going to make a right turn for five miles ( Imust get that Autocom system). The weather was not too cold but would have been nicer if the sun had come out a bit more.
I was the lucky one coz I got off work early the day before and went round the same route in the sunshine unfortunately I was by myself and had my winter gear and thermals on :violin:
Anyway Ive some Ideas for a few more rides soon, who fancies a run down to Hook Norton and stoping at the Pear Tree Pub, good food and beer which is right next to the Brewery, and then a run back up to Brum and a feast of grilled things at a pakistani tranport cafe. The Masala Fish is rolled in crushed spices and then deep fried and comes out all moist and delicately tangy (MMMmmmmm) The selection of Indian sweets at the sweet centre across the road is very good too.
Any one interested I guarentee nobody will have seen or tried all of the things they have to eat.
