In response to Ned52 here are some more details of my Panther

c.1990 I rebuilt from a rolling wreck to a worthy machine that I displayed at the annual Classic Bike show in Bristol. It is a 1955 M100 600cc single port Panther.

As mentioned, I got this as a taxed, MOT’d sidecar outfit from the 2nd owner, with a view to tidying it up and removing the sidecar so that I could ride it occasionally. On removing the sidecar it promptly fell to bits and required a full resto. I rode it for a while and then px’ed it for a 900 Trident, L750PRW.

so here are the only pictures I have of it, scanned last night when I found them hidden away in the attic. Sadly it is sorned and not known on the Panther Owners Club - SFJ259 - if you know of anyone with one.

Don't think I've ever seen a Panther without a sidecar attached.
I used to see an old boy in Southampton who rode around on a Panther outfit. He looked old enough to have bought it new and always wore a leather helmet.!
