What a great weekend.

Shame I could only make the Friday night/Sat/Sun rather than the full four days.

Anyway it was still good.

What sticks in my mind the most - well meeting up wth everyone (some known faces and some new) on the Friday evening. Starving as I'd just ridden up. Just as I arrive peeps are getting on the bikes saying we're going for something to eat.
Great says I, I'm starving - we end up in an Asda car park !! OK I guess stocking up on food for the self catering was needed but not quite what I had in mind!!

But after that the chinese buffet was brill - I'm still wondering if it's worth me taking a ride up one evening just to repeat that...

Anyway some good rides - especially the steam one !!

Shame about TrophyChap's leaking oil cooler on the Sunday.

A big thanks to Reefer for arranging this - well done, well worth it.

Anyway I'm sure the others will stick something on 'bout what they remember.

Ah, of course, you were in non-alcoholic mode.

What weekend?

Seriously, good weather, good company, good roads (well not the surface of some of them - but the BENDS were good!) and of course, good food!

The 'steam trip' was something a few of us had been wanting to do for a couple of years so it was brill to fit it in and hopefully, made a change for all of us.

The photos (posted by the photographer on a 'certain other' website!) of you (Gerry) are better than the ones of me - if anyone wonders what I am feeding my face with, it's the home-made 'Tiffin' at the Bluebird cafe on Coniston Water. I can't resist it! oh, and the 'Babygro' came out well too, didn't it? LOL

Excellent weekend, not too bad travelling home in a breakdown truck either; shame though the driver didn't secure the dolly and the bike tipped over before we got to Newby Bridge. (Yes; all the panels Pete replaced after the 'off' at Easter .....) AND after we'd said, I think this is the same sort of dolly they must have used at Easter, and Pete had got the Allen keys out and removed the front mudguard to save damaging it!!!!

C'est la vie. Good memories otherwise.

Hey Duck,
Any chance of you sharing some of the best roads that you took in.....?
I'm thinking of planning a long weekend in the Lakes, I would appreciate your version of the best bits!
Cheers

Will BMW'S be allowed on this run Rhino?

Hmmmm, i guess so but don't go showing off with your superior handling on the mountainous roads and sheep infested back lanes.
