The Horn !

Another daft question, I'm looking for a decent horn for the bike, also for the Transalp. Fed up of the peep peep I get when trying to scare cage drivers, so have anyone ever fitted an aftermarket horn that works !!

Looking for something that will scare the shit out of anyone who pulls out in front of me without flattening the battery !

There are varoius ones in varous catalogues, but I'm looking for one that someone knows is good.

Any recommendations ??

Fit some proper LOUD exhausts to ya bike Russ........

........that way the cagers can't help but know your coming through and they tend to stay put and not pull out on you..............fookin' loud pipes save lives!

Yeah

and to go the whole 'Hog' and fit some of them similar to those on 'your' chromemobile would make damn sure everyone heard me !!

Trouble is they may look a bit out of place on the Transalp !!

Russ, I was hoping to get something different fitted at my last service

but apparently there ain't much around that'll fit where the existing horn, so I'll be interested to see what crops up:dunno:

Parp !

I'll be having a good scout about at the weekend so I'll se wot I can find and if I'm successful I'll let y'all know.

Had a real good search on the web but definately seems to be a lack of choice, so I can't see our local car shop being any better, still ya never know......

Peep Peep

As I understand it improving the horn is not as simple as it sounds. Recently had the same problem with my 1000fl, big bike, big me, and a hooter that sounds like it comes off a toy town fire engine, a real mincie peep peep. the obvious answer was to fit another (different tone) horn in-line, however this is not reccommended, something to do with electro magnetic pulse or some such other foreign gobbledegook. If another horn is fitted it needs to be 'relayed' seperately. Unfortunately the Blackbird has a very similar note although it is slighty louder, PEEP PEEP, as it were.
