THE GARDEN OF ENGLAND MOTORCYCLE SHOW

Wolfie

Hop Farm Country Park, Paddock Wood, Kent, Saturday/Sunday 12th-13th June 2004, 10am-5pm both days
The Garden Of England Motorcycle Show, more popularly know as GEMS, certainly brings a bit of bling to Kent with a shining example of how a bike show can quickly become an annual favourite!

Now in its ninth year at the Hop Farm, Paddock Wood and regularly attracting around 20,000 show goers, there are plenty of activities at GEMS for the whole family.

Apart from the all-important exhibitor, club and trade stands, the main arena offers a load of entertainment with top stunt riders the explosive Jake Semtex with side-kick Flyin’ Ryan creating controlled havoc, while the Over the Top Stunt Team live up to their name with some amazing routines.

Also putting on the style will be the X-treme Trials Display Team featuring top European trials riders Martin Crosswaite and Dan Clark and to round it all off, manic Motoball, the crazy combination of football and bikes.

Mix all of this with mini-quad bikes, the remote controlled tanks of ‘Combat FX’; the search and destroy fun of the Laser Storm quest game; a climbing wall and for the kids, inflatables, a funfair, side shows etc, and it has something for everyone.

But that’s not all, under the night sky this GEM becomes a real jewel as campers gather at the 'Beer Barn' for a jar or two and enjoy the sound of live bands. BMF members enjoy a subsidised rate for their camper’s ticket, saving ?2 if pre-booked, but this event is open to everyone.

Not for me, cause i can never find it and end up doing a coast run, and then turning up at some poor sods door for two , whilst drinking all his tea and eating all his bread and cheese.
