Haste ye back

I'm not long in from an encounter with the cloggers on the 'Longshanks' Tour. Being my first run I was a bit apprehensive about meeting all of these semi-demi gods of the biking world and showing myself up or not keeping up. Let me tell anyone who is thinking about doing one of these runs for the first time, just DO IT. I needn't have worried, the guys were great and the ladies were even nicer than the guys. The run was loads of fun and I will be back. Thanks to all.

YET ANOTHER TOP WEEKEND

I hope everyone got home safely from another top weekend.
Cracking company and riding partners,
a wide variety of top quality roads,
great scenery,
lots of luck with the weather (a little cold but good for October),
a good curry in Edinburgh,

the list goes on.

A big thanks to everyone who took part, a large thanks to the Quines for sweeping and a massive thanks to Wing Commander Johnson for the route planning, pace setting and leadership.

I hope we can go "North" again soon, and possibly introduce some more folks to the delights of the Cloggers in full flight.

Stu and Elaine

Thanks for letting me tag along. It was fun playing with the big boys.

Maybe if it's gonna be an annual event (and I notice the thread in time :f  ), we'll be able to do the whole trip :-:

Maybe, by then, with another year of riding under the belt, I'll find it easier to keep up

It was good to meet you Sam and have you along for the ride.

Don't worry about 'keeping up', everyone rides at their own pace, and I as Sweeper will always remain at the rear.

There were some lovely roads on both Saturday and Sunday and I think some of the guys were just 'making the most of it' as it's probably the last decent ride for this season.

Look forward to see you with us again next year.

Yo Sam

It was good to see you m8. There's quite a few runs during the year in easy reach of you, so please do tag along.

Please don't be put off by the pace of this particular run. Everyone goes at their own pace, this is why we have a sweeper. I spent the entire weekend dropping back from the pack and being 'swept up' by Quiney so don't be put off.
