My pegs arrived this morning - v nicely made they are too! Many thanks OB.

Fitted them briefly this afternoon; took longer to get my toolkit out than fit them it was that straighforward. One thing I have to ask (and apologies if this has been mentioned before) is have you guys, who have fitted and are using your new pegs, had to cut off the sidestand's lug (ie the bit you flick with your foot when putting the stand down) to stop it getting in the way of your foot when changing gear? Thought I'd ask before I get the grinder out.

Hasn't been a problem for me and my size 11s. Might be a different matter for others, though. I'd try them before slicing bits off the bike.

I cut mine off Gromit.. can still put the side stand down easy.. make a clean cut with hacksaw mate and you can always weld it bac on if you ever feel the need..

Pix e-mailed to you, Dave. Hope you can make sense of what's supposed to be what!
The link pipes on the later models are a lot fatter than we expected
will def look into that for future ref.. clearance is there tho but wouldnt hurt to give it a little more.. If we change it Trev Ill let you know and swap yours for you mate..

Hopefully once we get a final final design sorted lol we will hand them over to jaws so they can go on general sale for members on here ...

heres Trevs Pics ..think he was trying to show some before and after shots ..

Thanks Trev - I (also size 11 plates'o'meat) just found the footpeg/lug on the stand was virtually in-line with the gear change lever and was a bit of a bugger to get my toe under the change lever a a result.

I'll take the bike for a spin round the block tomorrow afternoon to see if I can get used to it.

Edit: Cheers OB - reckon I may well just end up doing that tbh. It's no great difficulty and like you say, flicking the stand down is no problem without the lug. Must admit the pegs are a very neat job indeed. Nice one.

Thanks for posting the pix. There is a sequence - of sorts. Hope you can work it out.

The link pipe is 24cm round once it flares out (just after the exhaust clamp). This section gets extremely warm (probably hotter than on carb and early FI bikes). I don't think the hanger plate is close enough to the pipe to be affected by the heat (there's also the airflow once the bike is moving) but it's something to bear in mind.

Well...we're up and running!! Had a very satisfying Dremmel attack on the sidestand lug - now it's off I dunno why Honda bothered putting it on there in the first place. Putting the stand down now is just as easy than with it in place.

Anyway...

Gear change moved down one spline: Sorted. :yo:

Rear brake lever's still a little too high though (but bike's still rideable) - I've adjusted it down as far as it'll go but a couple of you folks mentioned cutting the adjusting rod? Admittedly I didn't spend all that long assessing what to do but how did you go about doing this? Thanks for any pointers (or step by step tips!). It'll no doubt help other folks doing the same mods too.

Doh!! :bang: Been a total numpty here (no change there). Got it sussed - the adjusting rod on my rear brake was bloody stiff and had reached a point where it wouldn't turn any further for fear of rounding off the flats with an open-ended spanner. Soaked it in some WD40 and it'll come all the way out now so I can cut a few mil off it. Sorted.

Quick update on my pillion pegs.
Had a rideout today across to Chatsworth house via cat and fiddle, and buxton. Then a bit of a tour round coming back over the tops via leek.
From the pillion, "The pegs did feel different to the standard ones, they allowed for a more comfortable sitting position, much better, and being wider I can move my feet around 'till I'm comfy".
From the rider, no more wriggling pillion after 30 mins or so, can we stop to stretch etc, etc, so result!!!!!!
Thanks guys. :yo:
