Hello Guys,

I have just purchased an Autocom, Active 7 Smart control unit and Kenwood Tk - 3101 uhf fm transceiver x two units.

Can anyone offer advice on instalation and set up. It's a similar system to the pro 7 sport, with VOX and bike powered.

Any one else used, or got one?

Hi ya no probs the best way to do it is to mount it under the rear light one of the guys made up a plate for it to fit on if not use velcro. You can then wire it into the rear light cluster so if the missus gives you to much of an ear full you can switch her off by turning the lights off LOL also works the other way it reminds you to switch your lights on , However you will need the extension leads the coiled ones are best also get the handlebar ptt switch works wonders.. Hope we will here you on channel 3.. ho if you get the sony rds system you can listen to the radio as well .I have a mobi phone plumbed in as well for use on voice dial..

Hope this helps

where R U im in Peterborough if you are close I could give you a hand fitting it :)

cheers

Thank's for that Richard.

Very kind of you to offer help, but we are prob about eight hours away.....lol.

I have the PTT button from an earlier Autocom system, but it does not fit in with this one. I Intend to try the VOX. Seems a bit fiddly to set up correctly, but should be ok once adjusted.

We should be coming down you're way for the BMF, In May. My brother in law lives about fifteen miles outside Peterborough. He also has a Blackbird.

May see you there

Cheers.
