Sorry to appear a bit thick but I am thinking of touring Switzerland do you need any special needs.I have read somewhere you do but not sure. :bang:

The only one I am certain of is the "tax disc" you HAVE to buy when you enter the country and I think it's 40 Euros or thereabouts.

I'm sure some of the "supertourers" on here will soon come to your aid.

As above i know u need a vignette that can be purchased at the border to be able to use their motorways...........I am going in July for the first time so can give u an update if u r going after that.....however their are planty of experts on here who have given me plenty of good advice

just got back from the blackforest and a visit to Switzerland. You will need to buy a vignette <sp> to use their motorway network. They are available from the service areas before the swiss boarder and will cost you 28 euro's or ?18.50. They are valid untill the end of 2005 and have to be stuck to your bike to be valid. If its not stuck on and they stop you you will be liable to a fine. Saying that they gave the bike a good look at as we entered the country to check the sticker but after that nothing.
