The other day a colleague rang me from work, with a music query, he asked me who sang 'You don't own me' I couldn't remember so I looked in guinness book of british hit singles, nothing in there so I looked on the internet and it gave the answer 'Lesley Gore' when I looked again in the book of british hit singles it only accredited two songs to Lesley Gore, yet 'You don't own me' reached number five in the british charts as did several other of Lesley's song so why are they omitted from the music bible? I thought the research for these books was supposed to be meticulous.
