Sticker/Decal help!

Whilst tidying up my latest Bird I decided to remove the decal/stickers on the rear cowl as they were a bit frayed at the edges, these are the long strips that you get on the later bikes (05 onwards?)...not the PGFM logo, so they have no writing on them and are just a long piece of cut vinyl in a grey ish silver colour that are on the lower rear seat cowl, so I phoned the Honda stealer after removing one and 1/2 of the other one to be given a price of.......?63.25.....+ VAT......EACH!!

So, I am now thinking that I maybe able to get a vinyl sticker company to make some up for me? I did manage to save some bits of the old ones so could match up the colour, but may need someone to take a trace for a template.....what do you think? Does anyone know if this is possible?

I could also do with the same vinyl for the LHS fairing, again just plain vinyl flash, good news is that I still have this one on the bike, so can make a template myself. (Honda wanted ?53.30 for this plain bit of sticker!!)

Come on you Hatters
At those prices wouldn't it be cheaper and better to get someone to paint them on? Alays thought it was a bit cheap how the tank was done properly but the rest was just cheap stickers.

Er...what was anniversary about it? I thought the grey ones were just another colour scheme, one that wasn't popular which meant that after the last black bikes were sold all that was left for the last year was grey ones?

AFAIK the only anniversary model was the 1200.

These are quite good for decals but I dunno if they'll have what you want.

you have OCD just live with it yousad git

Obsessive?compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder characterized by intrusive thoughts that produce uneasiness, apprehension, fear, or worry, by repetitive behaviors aimed at reducing the associated anxiety, or by a combination of such obsessions and compulsions. Symptoms of the disorder include excessive washing or cleaning; repeated checking; extreme hoarding; preoccupation with sexual, violent or religious thoughts; aversion to particular numbers; and nervous rituals, such as opening and closing a door a certain number of times before entering or leaving a room. These symptoms can be alienating and time-consuming, and often cause severe emotional and financial distress. The acts of those who have OCD may appear paranoid and potentially psychotic. However, OCD sufferers generally recognize their obsessions and compulsions as irrational, and may become further distressed by this realization.
OCD is the fourth most common mental disorder, and is diagnosed nearly as often as asthma and diabetes mellitus.[1] In the United States, one in 50 adults suffers from OCD.[2] Obsessive?compulsive disorder affects children and adolescents as well as adults. Roughly one third to one half of adults with OCD report a childhood onset of the disorder, suggesting the continuum of anxiety disorders across the life span.[3] The phrase "obsessive?compulsive" has become part of the English lexicon, and is often used in an informal or caricatured manner to describe someone who is excessively meticulous, perfectionistic, absorbed, or otherwise fixated.[4] Although these signs are present in OCD, a person who exhibits them does not necessarily have OCD, and may instead have obsessive?compulsive personality disorder (OCPD), an autism spectrum disorder, or no clinical condition. Multiple psychological and biological factors may be involved in causing obsessive?compulsive syndromes.

Yeh, maybe?

Cheaper stickers

Yeh - I almost fainted when I priced up decal sets from David Silver

In the end sourced them from the UK, not * exactly* the same as the genuine items, but close. But then again ?20 for a full set, quick delivery and UK sourced.

If you google "honda blackbird decals" on a worldwide search, there is a very good looking american supplier at a more modest price

Try this

Good luck

I know I'm a bit late on this thread, but this website is one I'd recommend without any hesitation for graphics. They ship worldwide, prices are EXCELLENT, and quality is very good. They will alter sizes and colors to your liking, too. I've used them when replacing graphics sets on repainted motorcycles for several years (I like to rebuild older machines and return them to original appearance), and I have yet to be disappointed by anything I've received from them. These graphics clearcoat VERY nicely, but also last very well without clearcoat. Honestly, why pay the insane prices that the manufacturers want when you can save a ton!

Just my 2 cents' worth, gang.

Best to you!
'rider.
