Apparently the UN has released a report stating that using female voices in "voice assistant" technology, like Alexa and Siri, reinforces the "idea" that women are subservient.

Ha...! So where's the long overdue report stating that the female voices in Satnavs reinforce the idea that women are nagging old bats who think they're in charge.....

I tried the Aussie girl’s voice on my Garmin a while back - useless cow, always whined about ‘recalculating’ I much prefer Emily. And once the English male voice, never again it was too bossy and I don’t take orders very well.

Sound is usually turned off and it is ignored until I get to the last few roads, near my destination. Then, just the odd glance suffices.

That's what I normally do, I also have a look on google maps before setting off to make sure I'm heading in the right direction.
