Well............

Me,Joe , Steve , Sarah & Steve Jordan and the very leggy and lovely Sam (female - NOT Samster) had a real good blast and a small stop in the afternoon at a pub that couldn't cook.
Nearly joined the 2003 club of ditched Blackbirds but narrowly escaped !!!!

Tip of the day - never go into an extereme corner trying to match the speed of an ex bike racer and his wife (Both run & teach track days) on a lardy blackbird , cos it ain't gunna happen !!!!!!!!!

I was laughing like a loon after the incident. Jesus that verge was too damn close for comfort.....................

Steve

sorry for not responding to ya text but I didn't get it 'till I got home, due to the frigging battery going flat. We didn't make Brighton 'cos we were enjoying roads and weather too much, so we decide to ride all day

Ben my son, you were fookin lucky mate but you gotta away with it and that's the main thing. Ya riding is just fine mate and I like the wheelie ya pulled. I thought the verge incident was moderate compared to the following corner (what corner I hear to say?) Oh that one, the one named "Pratts Corner"...seriously, that's what it's called :} Don't worry mate, I almost did the very same thing the first time I rode that route, but was able to recover 'cos I was on the Fazer :-:

I agree mate

The thing is - the first out of the two seemed worse to me as I could see the front tyre heading onto the graveled verge. The second could have been life threatenin' if a car was coming the other way but cause it was clear,I had loads of 'mac' on the wrong side of the road to correct myself and didn't feel as threatenin'.

I'll just stay on your heels mate , and leave Steve and Sarah to the pro stuff.
It's hard enough to stay with you,but cause I pulled out from the pub after them,I naturally started to speed up to their pace going into that section of corners.
Steve & Sarah drew the correct lines - I was drawing a straight line !!!!:B

No Worries Joe...............

Glad you had a decent day.......Brighton was heaving and parking was a bloody nightmare !!!:B

BIF......I'm sure we spotted you walking along Maderia Drive where the main bike and scooter parking was. We were up on pavement level above and by the time we made it through the crowd and down the steps we had lost sight of you !!!!

Dozen's of 'Birds down there though.......and my eyeball cards were in the wallet in my other jacket !!!!!:h
