Have a look on U-tube for the Virgin 747s leaving Manchester.
They gave the traditional "wing wave" as they went.
I believe one of the BA aircraft did then do a low flypast - mot seen it myself yet.

Having someone ‘in the know’, I knew this was coming months ago. Nothing will ever replace this aircraft, could fly in any weather and land on pretty much anything.

Just had a look at the video, and we flew to Chicago on one of the last 747s last year, which was painted in the old livery to celebrate BA’s centenary (like the one in the video). Towards the back of last year, all BA staff were given a luggage tag that was cut from a 747. Some sold theirs on fleabay but Mrs P kept hers.

That is very odd.. I have no account and checked it could be seen by opening the link in an incognito window.. Perhaps you are trying to view it on a fone or something and it does not like it ?

John are you sure you are not posting porn because my work computer blocked it immediately.

I've only flew on a 747 once and the army paid - very nice it was too.

If any one likes planes, There is a You-Tube channel called 'Big-Jet TV' Which is quite good! They have cameras at Heathrow and at Manchester and are allowed to film from great locations! The guy who commentates is called Jerry and is very clued up on the subject!(y):sherlock:
