When we lived in Wakefield we used to visit a very good curry house in Batley called "The Bombay palace" one of the waiters there was always friendly & could never do enough for you, The Bombay palace was that good the Asians used to eat there however the friendly waiter told us that they expected their meals for free & inevitably the Bombay palace closed down because it could not sustain providing meals for these freeloaders.

We have lived in Barnsley for coming up eight years now & our local Balti house has been the Balti palace in Darton [formerly known as Darton Balti] a couple of years ago India spice opened up just round the corner to the Balti palace, tried it & weren't impressed, we were told recently that Inda spice had a new owner & had improved so tonight we went to try it out along with both daughters & son in law, the first face we saw was the friendly waiter from the Bombay palace who now owns India spice, he recognised us straight away & served our table, excellent meal & excellent service, we will be going back...

But not on Friday as we are off to Akrams in Crofton :-0)
