The weather turned in a good 'un and we had a lovely day in Redditch yesterday. The Massif were out in force plus most welcome others too - BIRD was well represented. To name anyone would be unfair but some peeps travelled well in excess of duty - Superb!

There were 20 bikes and the Funeral Director, [Top Bloke] took a little detour through the town centre just so everyone knew just what was going on. You can't beat the deep burble of a collection of 'birds to draw attention.

I know Bridget was well pleased with the turnout. Thanks to everyone who made it or raised a glass at 20.30 at home.

Simzie - every rideout was blast: Even the last one...............RIP Buddy

Both Jan & I would like to echo DB's thoughts about the day. The weather was extremely kind & I think Al would have appreciated the fact that he had brought Redditch town centre to a standstill for about 20 minutes as the cortage passed through.

On a personal note, I would like to thanks Dave (DB) for his eulogy... It brought a lot of smiles of recollection, and thoughts of happier times..
You did him proud Dave :bow::bow:

May I say how nice it was to see & speak to some of our friends from earlier days, and also pass on our thanks to the Massiff (sorry massieeve !!) for all their hard work in pulling this together. A lot of people did ride the extra miles just to be there, much  to you.

It was nice to see that you all felt as we do, that we have been privelidged to know one of the nicest guys ever to grace the face of this planet:yo:

I am really sorry that Jan & I had to leave straight after the ceremony, but unfortunately, I had to work.

All our love & prayers goes out to bridget & family

good riding up there mate.

RIP Al...

What a send off

Indeed, quite a day

Felt humbled to be a part of the "procession"

As I explained to the Massif afterwards, when I pop my clogs, thats the sort of send off I would want................

Cos it will be the only ever time I'll manage to stay in front and not get lost!!

Swear blind as I got soaked crossing the Brecons that morning, Simsie was flashing camera shots at me - or was it the lightening?

RIP Simsie - gone but not forgotten
