Silly party games

Always enjoy them....did an old one and one new one on New Year's Eve...

The old one was putting an empty cereal box on the floor with the top flaps cut off, you had to bend over and pick it up with your teeth without anything other than feet touching the floor. Each 'round' sees an inch or two cut off the height of the box to make it increasingly difficult. While my performance has deteriorated since the last time I did it I managed to reach the final rounds, finally bowing out when the box was about a third of its original height.

The new one involved drinking a pink gin based cocktail from a large balloon type glass through a straw as fast as possible.... but you could only use the straw as a vacuum I.e. The straw came out of the glass, bent over the edge and you started it with a quick suck and then let gravity take over. Very hard to do without laughing!

Next year may see the Classic standing in a line, tying a spoon that has been in the freezer to a long piece of string and passing it inside the clothing of the person next to you, first in at the neck and out of the bottom (trouser leg, skirt, whatever), next person from the bottom up and so on.

Such fun.

Any other belters out there??

Tie a pen or pencil on a bit of string which is then tied to the waist so the pen/pencil hans down the back and is about 18" from the floor

An empty wine bottle is placed on the floor and the 'contestants' have to get the pen/pencil in to the bottle

A game for couples
Tie a tennis ball to a bit of string. The other end of the string is tied to a belt at the front of the person so the ball hangs down about 2 feet
A small bucket or similar receptacle is attached round the waist of the partner
By swinging the ball ( no hands used ) they must get it in the bucket

Riotous game for bigger parties again for couples
Place chairs around the room to form obstacles .. decide on a 'course'that must be followed around the chairs
Get four couples ( or less ) lined up to take part
One of each couple is blindfolded . On the command go the 'seeing' partner must guide their blind partner round the obstacles

Similar to above
You have ONE caller and four people doing the course, all of whom start at 5 second intervals.. Chaos is pretty much guaranteed

All but the first one I made up over the years pretty much on the spur of the moment ( we used to have big parties back then ! )

There are some others but those are the easiest to set up

I will ring you with a couple more....

Don’t really like parties.
So the bit about not liking party games is a bit irrelevant really then.. No matter what happened at a party it wold not be to your liking ?

As I don’t drink much if we go to a party I’m usually designated driver, there’s only so much soft drink you can take before bloating. People tend to suggest party games when they are pissed & can’t control the level of their voices, also if the hosts have shit taste in music it can spoil a party.
If we are hosting the party I am forever watching out for people slopping food & drink everywhere.
I would much rather go for a meal with good friends.

There's a surprise!

The good thing about party games is everybody looks silly, especially those that sit on the sidelines tutting.

In the middle of changing mobile providers....I missed one call this morning but it hasn't rung since!

Worth the aggro though - sim only Sky £6 per month, unlimited calls and texts plus 2gb data.

Silly not to.....
