Same around here. Think a lot of peeps abandoned it last night cos of the shitty weather.

I like fireworks though....

The weather wasn't so bad here last night.

I don't like fireworks, it's bad enough the effect it has on my animals, just think what it must be like for the wild animals & birds, admittedly since the tightening of the laws regarding fireworks it hasn't been the two months of explosions that we were accustomed to but two weeks is bad enough.

note to Barnsley council, 'you need to replace the glass in the bus stop on Barugh green road'

Wild animals and birds are probably quite non plussed about it as they are accustomed to a life blighted by man and the much loud and sudden noises that come with it. These noises are just more of the same. Nobody worries too much about the animals when a JCB is operating a rock point for hours on end, for example.

Domesticated animals are a different story though because we molly-coddle them and they don't have the same natural built in resilience and armour.
