well done
Well done on completing your CBT, you obviously enjoyed yourself. As a Direct access instructor let me give you a little advice please. Most people arrive for DA riding the bike but not correctly so most of the first day is all about teaching correct use of the clutch throttle and brake co ordination, especially the correct use of the rear brake as a control for slow riding especially around junctions, get this right before DA and the course will be much easier and more enjoyable. As you have your own bike you can do this. More time can then be spent on the road craft side of things taking you nearer to the pass that you want.
Contrary to what a lot of people think road craft and safety is a large part of your course, no disrespect to your hubby or any one else but ride like you were shown on your CBT and work on the spotting of signs, hazards and every thing else out there, don't try to ride like your hubby. Then it will go well, get too many bad habits and you only have a few days to break them. Enjoy your self.
A different reply to the comment about people being thrown out for being next to useless! A school shouldn't throw any one out of a course, they have paid their money to complete the course, a full days training, if they are not ready to go out on the road you bring them back for the rest of the course, it is not a pass situation but a constant assessment. You can of course charge for the extra training after the full day which is paid for. Not all schools charge for the extra some do.
