Sete Gibernau retired from motorcycle racing yesterday. He said it had been his dream to win the World Title but now has other plans and priorities.

Such a shame he allowed Rossi's mind games get to him. But then maybe he was destined to be an 'if only' rider.

Really liked him for his reaction to the death of his team mate. Respect also for not taking a contract somewhere just for the money.

granted, only time i saw a side of him that i liked. born into the sport on the silver side of a spoon thanks to his grandad founder of Bultaco.
would have been good if he had sorted his head out, but hey...........
