Me and the missus are aiming to make it to Stratford for the weekend.

We hope to travel up on the Friday evening after work to cut the journey down a bit on Saturday. We will book into a Travel Inn or Travelodge somewhere on the route up.

Can anyone recommend accommodation for the Saturday night in the vicinity of the meet ?

I'll keep a watch on the postings to see where you are all going to meet up, if I need any directions, I'll ask

Mini Bash 2 Update

Having done a reccy of the area, (and visited most of the cotswold pubs !!!) We have found a pub with a campsite for our meeting.. It is The Cross Hands Inn on the A44 at Chipping Norton.

They have accepted a provisional booking of 25 pitches for us on the night of the 21st September. at ?7 each (maximum). There is a dining room, bar, pool table, showers & toilet facilities.

If anyone want B&B, Jan & I are booked into a local b&b, and we have others available within 1/2 mile of the Cross Hands(easy taxi ride for when pissed)

We are hoping to meet up on Saturday morning at the Riverside playing fields at Evesham... A map will be posted for those without a copy of autoroute express ... We will then have a short "jaunt" around the cotswolds, and adjourn to the pub for refreshments, and cleaning up for the nights festivities...

On Sunday Morning we are planning another short jaunt around the countryside, before we terminate the fun at Gloucester and all head home...

Back in the loft

We only just put the tents away from the Mini bash 1, so I'll get in the loft and get the tent out again for the Minibash 2. Shrops the pubs even closer than it was at our house, the site flat and grass. This will be a major Eyeball.

Hey Rolfy what do you reckon the Doc would say if we offered to pitch either side of him - i think we would have his tent down in the night even if he was pissed enough to sleep. :}
