Scottish camp sites

I am looking for a site mid-way between lake district and Aberdeen to stay over on way up to the McBash as I want to take time and enjoy the ride up. Any suggestions for good sites to try?

Carlise to Aberdeen is only 240 miles so it can be done in a day easy unless you want to stop off at Edinburgh or glasgow
