Calling all B.I.R.D. members north of the border,
Who are you & where are you could we try to meet up even see who would like to attend this years Bash ( can we change its name to ABBA Annual Blackbird Bash Adventure ) (Can't see anybody upset at that )
Even just arrange a ride out.
Gave this a try last year & got nowhere :bang:

are you going to the bike show this year again ....will this be our annual get together .....? i did think about coming on one of your runs but the usual excuses etc etc.....a freind and i tried to get a run going about 2 years ago from perth(nice and central with plenty of scope for runs ) but no intrest..... i would like to be part of a large b/b run some time this year as well as trying to join your own run ......new year resolution ... must get out on bike more often.....

Stroma mate we will indeed be at the bike show, not sure which day lets hope we can meet up.

This year the Caledonian Reivers MC will be doing more runs in your neck of the woods so keep a look out for us, better still I will give you the dates for our monthly runs at the show.

As you said last year its an uphill struggle to get people out.

Last year we managed members from the Fazer Owners, Kwak ZRX1200, & some old friends from the Bandit site up for a 4 day blast around the Highlands A real HOOT :yo: :yo:
Would love to see a Murder of Blackbirds trashing around the REAL North.

probably manage a long all day or weekend run or 2 later on in the summer when i put Jester down to moult as he wont need (or want) to be flown or worked through it.

until then i can only go for runs closer(ish) to home maybe a hundred and a bit miles. as it is meeting up in Perth means a hundred miles before even starting.

if you are ever up in the aberfreeze area i could easily join in though

If you can post your rideout dates and meeting points it will give me some definate dates to aim for ......a longer run needs slightly more forward planning (wife and son duties)but this year I can but try.....dont know which day for show yet...hope we can meet up some time

Get together

w;;v AV8TOR good idea to get together , I was at the Scottish bike show last year, but looks like I missed everyone :xm Cannot make bike show this year as duty calls, but would definitely be interested in a run out later in the year provided my shift rota fits in. Shall be going to NW200 in May leaving on 18th and returning 22nd. but a Highland Flight sounds fine to me as I live in the FDN (Far Dark North) myself.

Hi Al,
Been ages since I saw you on here, mind you its probably cos I aint been on here either ! :bang: Been using the Tiger since the salt appeared so I try to avoid the BIRD site cos I it just makes me want to jump back on the Blacky !!
I too have problems getting much time to devote to long runs, if the Bash was closer (how much further from Aberdeen can it get, 1000 miles round trip !!) I would definately go, went to the very first one when we were all IXXRA members but since it's migrated to the South its too far away, not for the bike, just timewise for taking holidays off work. If there was a mini meet somewhere up here I'd go for that even if it was just a weekend somewhere.
Anyway, how many of us are there up here ???

UP for a run

I stay in Banchory the gateway to the highlands apparently, definately up for meeting up for a run. I can't comit to anything too far down the line due to work, family, iminent house extension and real knack for breaking my cars and having to fix them again (probably the reason not everybody drives there own vehicles like they stole them)c7u8

I'm keen to go down to the bash if I can fit it around the above. While the salts on the road I'm using the VTR but when it's gone I'll be livin on the bird again and up for clocking up a few miles.

If we can give an idea of distance you would travel I can work out a central'ish meeting place depending on your lacation.

Come on you Scots, lets give it a go

BASH is a bit of a treck but well worth the effort some one from up - up North would win furthest travelled ( & might win that Caanduuuwl to help you see on the long dark road hame )

Looks like its a ride to Aberdeen ish for a get together

We have Controlshed in the south/west me in the middle & the rest in Aberdeen Angus & just north of Inverness.

According to the members area guide we have 114 listed members & if I could figure out how to send a multipule E-Mail thingie to them all we might have a decent turnout,

Got to start somewhere.
