I only went for 3 nights.
The ride up there was great with OK weather.
I did a detour to Galashiels to visit a Scottish BMW owner who had a black seat for sale to replace my grey seat.

I rolled into The Highlands.

Still OK weather, still riding up to the hotel.

I know I'm getting close now so I stop more frequently to take photos.
The last 20 miles or so must've took about an hour to do.

Stayed at a B&B in Ballachulish, great little place ideal for a base to see the West of Scotland.

The Strathassynt B&B, ran by a couple of Geordies. They do a fantastic breakfast. The area is popular with mountaineers so a hearty breaky is a must. There's a pub & a shop just over the road.

Day 2, I decided to visit Skye. Bit overcast, ended up raining but who cares?

I recon if you're here you've gotta do the ferry to Skye.

I didn't manage to get to Scotland last year because I did a little trip to Italy but this year I'm planning a full 10 days up there mainly camping.

Can't wait.

All the photos above were taken in May 2007.
The week before I had ridden to France, I'll post this report up later if I find the time! :-0)

I plan to ride up again this year for the last week in May/first week in June.

Sounds good, do you have a link?
I assume it's a Bird Bash organised by the site?

Will there be BEER?

EDIT: just found it in the Bash Planner section, yes, I'm up for that!

Oops, sorry if I'm a bit slow, but glad you found it.

Beer? Wouldn't be a BIRD bash without it! See ya there. Hows about Sheepfest and the SOSB? Details for both can be found in the rideouts section.
