Update,

PDA has been for a trip to Holland.............to the Tom Tom Factory!

It's been back a week and now runs a self booting version of 5.1 with actual working full postcodes.........great!

Only problem is that the map rolls every now and then, plus it didn't want to accept additional maps and then flipped back into version 5......!

Customer support has been a lot better since sending my third letter, but given the money over again I would still shop else where!

Far to much stress for the reward on offer!

Finally sorted and running 5.1....Map still rolls now and again and I wouldn't buy it given the choice again............but when running 5.1 is better than 3 and the postcodes are very good.

Still a nervous wreck when I come to use it just in case...............!

I've just received my upgrade to Tomtom 5 from version 3. When I tried to load it, it was having none of it, until i realised that i only had a 128mb card in it which wasnt big enough to hold all the maps.

I've now ordered a 512mb card, but my question is, should I load version 3 onto it first and then 5 over the top, or just go and put version 5 straight onto the new card?

Cheers lads
