Hi Warrior.
I suppose it depends on how many days you have...Are you going there and back or with a bit of sight seeing added on.

I used to live in this area of Italy, so here goes.....

The San Marino WSB is at Circuito Misano is it not? If thats correct then you could fly to Bologna and then hire a car and drive down the Autostrada and it goes right past it (you can see it from the Autostrada)

Alternatively, if you were on the bike you could go Mont Blanc tunnel, Milan, Bologna and then down the Autostrada to Misano.

When I lived there, one of the cheapo air carriers flew to Rimini - Ryan Air I think. You could go with them and then get a taxi from Rimini to the circuit.

The race is in June, so bank on it being hot!

Hi CM.
Just out curiosity and not intended to be rude.
I live in Malaga Spain.
So why did you leave a loverly part of Italy with similar weather to go and live in the cold and wet 8ree! of Scotland. Must be love or money or both.

Hi Warrior.
As a suggestion if you are going by bike, go the way CM said but on the way back have a tour along the Italian and French Riviera and when you get to Montpellier head north up the A75/E 11 and take in the new Millau bridge. ... it's on the way home, and it is awsome so I have been told!
We will making a visit there when we go to the Mugello GP in June, and as it's only 100 klms inland we will stay a night in France then turn round and head home for M?laga.

Zippo.
PS. If you can fit it in, Pisa makes a great visit and the road from there to Genova is one of those roads you have to ride, it's so good it makes you dribble. :lick:

No - I'm a twat! I was contracting to a company called Snamprogetti and they didn't renew my contract so I came home. There are absolutely feckin tons of great bike roads in that area. If anyone has read Valentino Rossi's autobiography, you'll notice he's from the area too. Misano is very near Pesaro, which is the nearest big town to where he's from........

I'm planning to go solo (picking up a woman in Naples) and then riding back to take in the Millau viaduct maybe we should talk?

Hi Dodgy...
Is this a blind date then, and if it is how do you know she will have a helmet? Take my advice regarding the last bit of the question... when you pick her up, definately talk to her... women do like that you know!

Coal and Newcastle come to mind, but I'm importing 1 of my own (better the devil you know), besides, I don't know if I could put up with a loud Italian one.She doesn't fancy WSB so I'm not going to waste drinking vouchers on a ticket.
going to ride back up to see Millau and stop off at a mate's house on the way.
Another set of tyres!! :yo:
