Just in case any of you are tempted I recently purchased two pressure gauges, one for my garage the other to carry on trips abroad. To cut a long story short, both were recommended in this months RIDE mag, however the small portable one (a Halford job @ ?4.99) is unusable on the brid 'cos there is insufficient clearance between the wheel hub and pressure valve in order to get the fooking thing in and attached.
So :f RIDE and :m Halfords, they obviously didn't try it out on the birdy before recommending/selling the thing :shooter:

Yeah, there's no reason why the one with the nozzle wouldn't.

It's the "short" (but not short enough!) stubby one @ ?4.99 that doesn't fit :bandit:

AHHHH see which one now, go and buy some right valves then they will fit.

My local halfords must get an award for giving all the dumb arse losers around here a job.

I tried it again this morning and the results are the same.

Now I know I'm no grease monkey, but there is simply insufficient clearance between my pressure valve and the rear wheel hub centre for the unit to fit. Maybe my valves are longer than yours Sam (oo'er!) and I know fitting L shaped valve extensions would resolve the situation, but I'm happy with my snap on, so the Halfords mini-digi as recommended by RIDE is sentenced to the car

.....the thing I use has a slight bend in it and provided that I bend the valve stem it just about works..............

Got me two digi ones...
The first I bought from Rip Off ( sorry.. Snap On ) for 22 quid , the second from great Mills ( its a Texas Homecare type place ) for a tenner..
Had em both checked recently at 42 lbs ( I wonder why ! ) and both came out within .75Lb.. good enough for me :p
