Richard Pryor dies.

Actor and comedian Richard Pryor pops off. He was only 65. A very funny guy - RIP.

He was funny when partnered with Gene Wilder, but his one man shows were a bit on the crude side for my taste.

We were lucky enough to see him live just after we got married.

He was performing at the American Airforce base at Heshish Oldendorf (spelling?)

Jan & I were ivited by friends who were stationed there...

As DK says, his standup show was very crude, but incredibly funny...

He really had some talent, and a raw way with words...

never thought him to be funny, but I suppose to some he may have been, in an "American" type of way,!! he had been ill for a very long time or so I'm led to belive!! :dunno:

.................A God amongst men IMHO.

That Guy did more for the Black community through his abrasive, self effacing, in your face comedy than a whole lot of peers. It can make for very uncomfortable, challenging watching, as a white middleclass member of society and yet, achingly funny - a very strange collection of emotions.....................

RIP - MS is a shite disease, regardless of who you are...................
