Possible venue photos and dates for the Scottish Fling !

These are on the other thread but will probably be missed by most so started a new thread instead.

Okay as there are few interersted, I'm going to suggest a date (which can be changed!) just to see if its acceptable to most bods.

How about the weekend of 4th, 5th and 6th September 2009 ??

Or is that too late ??

I have spoken to some 'entertainers' who have said they would bre more than interersted in making it a Scottish weekend to remember !

I will be calling into the Hotel this week to ask if we could use their field which I would hope to put a Marquee up in which is within 10 yards of the bar and would give us somewhere to have our 'entertainment'!! Its right next to the Hotel and would have loads of room for all the tents as well, not far to crawl at all really !!

There is also a chippy opposite with a room which we could get the use of if you think the Marquee idea is no good, the only good thing about the Hotel is the fact the bar is so close to the field !

Let see if the venue and date is acceptable to most folk, if not the date can certainly be changed to suit.

I've just spoken to the owner of the hotel and he has 5 Rooms in the hotel but unfortunately no Presidental Suite !!

I can ask him to put flowers in your room if you like !!

They charge ?30 B&B and I've mentioned about the Marquee on the field behind and being able to use the bar and its not a problem, sounds quite keen strangly !!

I'm sounding out a group visit to the Glenfiddich Distillary and a visit on the way to one of the Cooperages, its a good ride around on the Whisky Trail but you'll just have to watch the size of the samples they give !!

Another update !

One of the guys on our Aberdeenbikers website works at an Adventure Activity Centre on Deeside, as well as a great run out to the centre, would people be willing to pay for extras like Grass Go Carting / 4x4 challenge, etc ??

I'm trying to get a good deal for us with him and once he gets back to me I'll let you know.

I think the dates will have to be set at that unless someone on here says there is another BASH clashing.

Okay guys, gonna start making plans/bookings, etc so mark it in your diary, 4/5/6th Sept 2009.

I know some peoples plans can change before then cos its a long way off but we'll see nearer the time how many can still make it, and I'll let you know the cost including any extras for the Activity Centre when I get it.

Will beaver away and let you know if I hit any snags on the way but can't see any problems.

Already provisionally booked a band (hope you like joining in with the good old Scottish bands !) who I know and they will get you going !

Will also book the 5 rooms and we can sort out who was first on the list later !!

being thick i would guess but what is the name of the town village we would be staying in ? not seen it in the thread folks are saying 550 miles from norfolk im about 200 miles further south than norfolk so wanted to get an idear of miles for me....up for it ether way sounds good

The village is Fyvie about 25 miles North of Aberdeen on the A947.
