Panniers and Indicators

I intend to fit my new Honda Panniers soon and would like to know if anyone who has them fitted could tell me the distance between the rear indicator mount and the pannier itself? The intention is to remove the OEM indicators (extender bracket required) and fit short indicators, any advice or information would be appreciated.

The pannier set are the OEM from Honda but I intend to fit the Givi Top box, I appreciate that this will make it more difficult as a plate and securing arrangements will have to be manufactured so that the Honda frame kit can stay in place if required but this will best suite me and a bit of playing with sheet metal and welding kits sounds fun (it will keep me occupied). The indicator issue is just another thing to think about, shorter indicators for normal without interfering with the frame and a couple of LED repeaters fitted to the panniers for maximum visibility to short sighted car drivers. This is still all in the mind but you can never have too much information. Liked the photos.

Come on you Hatters
You need to speak to HONDATED. He's just done that and made what looks like a pretty decent job of it, better than previous attempts that have been made on here in the past. He's offered templates to those that are interested.

Not sure if I should mention this, but I've just bought a pair of 99/2000 R1 rear indicators to fit in the original holes under my Givi wingrack, and have a small pair of repeater lamps that are really small and neat that I plan to either mount on the panniers with some sort of plug arrangement, or will tuck them under the edge of the top box plate so they're permenant.

Thank-You

Just to reiterate the title but THANK-YOU all for the info, the photos are ideal as the mount I was think of has changed about four times since the post, once it is done I will post the outcome. Thanks again. PS still reply to the post if you think of anything else, as I said you cannot have too much information or photos.

Actually, I just went & measured it. There's roughly 35mm from the base mount to the inside of the pannier rack.

Not sure if you noticed this bit or not. In case I worded it badly, I mean there's about 35mm from where the original indicator bolts on to the inside of the rack on the side to carry the panniers.
