Anyone know if there are any discounts going for the Hull to Rotterdam crossing, or who is doing the best prices. Looking at June, possibly the Assen GP. w;;v

I know I keep saying it, but give Motorsport Travel a call. They always seem to give the cheapest prices.

Tel 01759 301010 or fax 01759 301030

I generally fax as the telephone seems to be permanently engaged, but they always come back to you from a fax.

Quote from P&O bookings for 1 M/C rider and pillion + Accom ?258.75.
Quote from Motorsport same as above ?267.
Thats just the ferry crossing.
It does seem a tad expensive for me to take my lad (13yrs) to watch the GP on the bike. :violin:

I know its a bit of a jaunt, be we have always gone Dover - Calais and rode up to Assen.

You can do it in about 5 hours with a bit of a lick on.

You'll need to stop about 3 times for fuel.

Buzz.

If I were a bit further south I'd consider it, but only 2 Hrs to Hull maximum with a stop.

You'd have to include an overnight in the price somewhere though. From here to Hull, 2Hrs, onto ferry overnight, off in Rotterdam at 0830 then leisurely ride up to Assen. :dunno: From here to Dover is a trek and you'd have to O/N either this side and get the AM ferry or the other side?

Just booked this week for a crossing from Hull to Zee on the 24 of June (Fri) and returning on the 8 July (Fri) from Rotterdam. I generally book thro Ferrysavers but they wanted ?600 for 3 riders, bikes and 4 berth cabin, thought it was a bit pricey even for a weekend crossing and 4 berth cabin soooo I phoned P&O 'Bloody hell' ?158 with a 4 berth Premier cabin!

What a lot of ppl don't understand is it's a 600 mile round trip of English motorways for us up here and of course that's 300 miles at the end of your hols! plus the overnight crossing from Hull is superb!

If I was to ask the same ppl if they would deliver a package for me to my house up here in Yorkshire, from; lets say Dover, for maybe ?50 max and use their own petrol....think I know what they would tell me

Now that sounds a good price, I'd be happy to go for it at ?158 but they quoted me ?258 albeit I'm not going for that length of time, only 5 days max. :bang: Just entered that route on their website hull to zee and coming back rott to hull still well over ?200. :dunno:

Jono, don't try to book online, the prices are fixed and there's no leeway, phone them and tell them your requirments, see what price they can come up with.

Nothing ventured and all that
